1T is a size in computer storage. It is often used to refer to one trillion bytes.

Data Size Units
computer data is typically measured in binary code using the metric system. In the metric system, data is measured in units of 1000 or 1024. But what does that mean? What is a kilobyte, megabyte, or gigabyte? What is a terabyte? To answer these questions, we must first understand the difference between a bit and a byte.
Kilobyte (KB)
One kilobyte is 1,000 bytes, or 8,000 bits. Kilobytes are sometimes represented by the capital letter K or KY, as in 2K for “2 kilobytes.” Kilobytes are often rounded to the nearest thousand. For example, 3MB could become 3,000K or 3K. And 1kB could become 1,024B or 1KB (the capital B is sometimes used to indicate binary bytes).
Megabyte (MB)
One megabyte (MB) is equal to 1,000,000 bytes, or 1,048,576 (1024×1024) bytes. This is because computers use binary numbers where each byte is eight bits (0s and 1s). Therefore, one megabyte is 2 to the 20th power, or 1,048,576 in decimal notation.
Gigabyte (GB)
One gigabyte (GB) is equal to 1,000,000,000 bytes or 1,024 megabytes (MB). A gigabyte is about 1000 times bigger than a kilobyte. As storage capacities increase and file sizes get larger, we use larger units like a gigabyte (GB) or terabyte (TB).
Terabyte (TB)
A terabyte (TB) is a unit of digital information that is increasingly being used to measure the size of large files and the capacity of storage devices. It is approximately equal to 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) bytes.
How Big is 1TB?
A terabyte is a unit of digital information that is exponentially larger than a megabyte. It is made up of two parts “tera” meaning trillion and “byte” meaning a sequence of eight bits. A single terabyte is composed of 1,099,511,627,776 (one trillion, ninety-nine billion, five hundred eleven million, six hundred twenty-seven thousand, seven hundred seventy-six) bytes.
1TB Equals 1000GB
In digital storage, one terabyte (TB) is a unit of measure representing 1,000 gigabytes (GB). A single TB of storage can hold around 340 hours of high-definition video or around 12000 hours of music.
1TB Equals 1000000MB
1TB equals 1000000MB or 1000GB. It is therefore equal to 1000 times the capacity of a 1GB hard drive. As an example, 200GB of storage space would be required to store around 50000 photos in high definition.
1TB Equals 1000000000KB
Technically, 1TB equals 1024GB (gigabytes). But in most cases, when people refer to 1TB, they actually mean 1000GB. So for the sake of simplicity, we’re going to use that number.
Now that we know that 1TB equals 1000GB, we can easily calculate how many KB (kilobytes) that is. There are 1000KB in 1MB (megabyte), and 1000MB in 1GB. So if we multiply 1000 by itself twice, we get 1000000000KB in 1TB.
1000 x 1000 = 1000000
1000000 x 1000 = 1000000000
Therefore, 1 terabyte is the same as 1000000000 kilobytes.
What Can You Store on a 1TB Drive?
A 1TB drive can hold a large amount of data. In terms of size, 1TB is equal to 1000GB. This means that you can store around 1000 hours of high-definition video, or 2 million photos on a 1TB drive. If you have a lot of data to store, then a 1TB drive is a good option.
500 Hours of Video
In terms of video, one Terabyte of storage can hold the equivalent of 500 hours of digital video. This number can be deceiving though because the quality of the video plays a big role in how much storage it takes up. videos shot in 4K or Ultra HD will take up a lot more room on your drive than standard definition or even high definition videos.
125,000 Songs
In terms of music files, a 1TB drive can store approximately 125,000 songs.
190,000 Photos
Assuming an average file size of 1MB per photo, you can store up to 190,000 photos on a 1TB drive. That’s enough to keep most amateur photographers busy for years!
