However, what is often overlooked is the fact that being overweight or obese can lead to a number of serious health problems, including heart disease, diabetes and even some forms of cancer. But just how much do women’s ideal body sizes differ? That’s what we sought to find out in our latest poll. We asked 1,000 women across the United States their thoughts on the perfect body size for a woman, and the results may surprise you. So, what did we find out?
What do the studies say?
A recent study says that the answer might not be as simple as we thought. The study, which was conducted by a group of researchers from the University of Texas, found that women’s preferences for penis size varied depending on a number of different factors.
Study 1
A 2009 study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine looked at 3D scans of almost 200 white British women age 18 to 65 and asked them how satisfied they were with their partner’s penis size. The women gave each penis they saw a rating from 1 to 4 on a “length” scale and a “girth” scale.
When the researchers analyzed the data, they found that the average length rating was 3.3 (on a scale from 1 to 4), and the average girth rating was 3.4. In other words, women didn’t seem to care that much about penis size once it got past a certain point. The researchers also found that there was no relationship between penis size and body size or foot size, which means that penis size isn’t determined by how big the rest of a man’s body is.
Study 2
In 2006, researchers from the University of Texas asked 75 men and women to rate color photographs of male models with different penis sizes. The participants were mostly heterosexual college students, and the Penis Size Preference Chart yielded very similar results to Study 1: Overall, women preferred a penis that was 6.4 inches long and 5 inches in circumference. When the researchers controlled for body size, they found that women still preferred a penis that was about 6 inches long and 5 inches in circumference. In other words, Study 2 supported the findings of Study 1: Women prefer a medium-sized penis — not too small, but not too large either.
What do women say?
