Sizing for Youth Large
When it comes to sizing for youth clothes, it can be difficult to know what size to buy. You want to make sure the clothes fit, but you also don’t want to spend a lot of money on something your child will outgrow in a few months. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what size an XL in youth large is.
Chest Size
To find your child’s chest size, have them measure the circumference around the widest part of their chest, just under their arms. The number they get is their chest size.
Height
The size on youth large clothing is typically based off of a child who is between 4’11” and 5’3” tall. To ensure the properfit, you will want to take some measurements of your child. Start with having them stand up straight with their back against a wall. Place a book or ruler flat against their head and make a small pencil mark at the point where the book meets the wall. Next, measure from the ground to the mark that you just made. This will give you an accurate measurement for your child’s height.
