Official NBA ball

The official NBA ball is 29.5 inches in circumference. It is also 58-60 inches in circumference. The weight of the ball can vary between 20 and 22 ounces.

Spalding

The Spalding basketball is the official ball of the National Basketball Association. It has a circumferences of 29.5 inches and it is made of leather. The ball is orange with black and white panels.

Wilson

The Wilson official NBA ball is used during all NBA games. It is made of leather and has a circumference of 29.5 to 30 inches. The ball weighs 22 to 24 ounces. There are eight panels on the ball and the seams are stitched flat.

Court size

The size of an NBA basketball court is 50 feet by 94 feet. The size of a college basketball court is also 50 feet by 94 feet. The size of a high school basketball court is 84 feet by 50 feet.

High school

The high school basketball court dimensions are 84 feet in length by 50 feet in width. The key and free throw line dimensions are the same as the college and professional courts. The 3-point line distance from the basket is 19 feet, 9 inches.

College

The college basketball court size is 94 feet by 50 feet. The professional court size is exactly one foot longer and wider, at
95 feet by 50 feet. The Canadian court size is also the same as the professional court, except that it uses metric measurements, which are 91.9 feet long by 49.2 feet wide. All though these differences in measurement may seem small, they can have a large effect on the game itself.

Professional

A regulation NBA basketball is 29.5 inches in circumference. That’s about 3.7 inches in diameter, or just shy of a foot. It’s also exactly the same size as a WNBA basketball, and slightly larger than an NCAA basketball, which is 28.5 inches in circumference.

Basketballs used in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), for players aged 16 and under, are also 29.5 inches in circumference. The only difference between an EYBL ball and an NBA ball is the material used for the cover; the EYBL uses a microfiber composite leather, while the NBA uses genuine leather.

At the other end of the spectrum are “mini” basketballs, which are smaller versions of regulation balls that are often used as promotional items or as toys for children. Mini basketballs typically have a circumference of around 22 inches, which is about 60% of the size of a regulation NBA ball.

Ball size

an NBA basketball is 29.5 inches in circumference. There are also smaller balls for women and children. The size of the ball affects how well you can control it and how far you can shoot it. A smaller ball is easier to control but doesn’t travel as far when you shoot it.

29.5 inches

The size of a regulation NBA basketball is 29.5 inches in circumference. The ball is 9.25 inches in diameter and weighs 22 ounces. It is made of leather or synthetic leather and must be inflated to a pressure between 7.5 and 8.5 pounds per square inch.

28.5 inches

An NBA basketball is 30 inches in circumference. This sized ball is also used by WNBA, by men in international competitions such as the Olympics, and also by many college, high school, and middle school basketball teams. However, the Women’s International Basketball Federation (FIBA) official rules state that the ball should be 29.5 inches in circumference for women’s competitions.

27.5 inches

An NBA basketball is a little larger than a women’s soccer ball. It measures 27.5 inches in circumference and weighs 22 ounces. Compare that to a soccer ball, which is about 23 inches in circumference and 14-16 ounces in weight. Both balls are inflated to a pressure of 7-9 pounds per square inch.
