How to Measure Your Ring Size
There are a few different ways that you can measure your ring size. The most common way is to use a ring sizer, which you can find at most jewelry stores. You can also measure your ring size with a ruler or a tape measure. If you don’t have either of those things, you can use a string or a piece of paper.
Use a flexible measuring tape
To find your ring size using a measuring tape, follow these steps:
-Wrap the measuring tape around the base of your finger.
-Note the measurement in centimeters or inches.
-Match the measurement to the ring size conversion chart.
If you don’t have a flexible measuring tape, you can use a regular ruler. Just wrap a piece of string or paper around your finger, mark the spot where it overlaps, and measure the length with the ruler. Again, match your measurement to the ring size conversion chart.
Measure your finger
The best way to measure your ring size is to go to a jewelry store and have them do it for you. If you don’t have time for that, or if you want to surprise someone with a ring, there are a few ways you can measure your ring size at home.
To measure your finger, you will need:
-A strip of paper or a thin piece of string
-A ruler
-A pen
1. Cut the strip of paper or string into a circle that is about 3 inches in diameter.
2. Wrap the paper or string around the base of your finger. Make sure the paper or string is snug but not too tight.
3. Mark where the two ends meet with the pen, then measure the distance between the mark and the end of the paper or string with the ruler.
4. Compare your measurement with this chart to find your ring size:

How to Convert Your Measurement
It can be tricky to select the proper ring size for someone basing it off of theirmeasures. The best way to find their ring size is by using a measuring device or a ring sizer. If you don’t have access to either, there is a way to measure using only a ruler.
Convert millimeters to inches
One inch is equal to 25.4 millimeters, so to convert millimeters to inches, divide by 25.4. For example, 6.5 cm is equal to 6.5 ÷ 25.4 = 0.256 inches.
Convert inches to ring size
An inch is equal to 2.54 cm, so to convert your ring size from inches to centimeters, simply multiple your ring size by 2.54. Use the chart below to find your ring size in centimeters.
